Prayer

Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
James 5:17-18

Prayer is the key to conforming ourselves to His image when the fires of life threaten to consume us. Only prayerful fellowship with God will always see us through and give us direction.

We are besieged daily by thoughts that try to sway us and situations that require God’s wisdom to move in His ways. Prayer is our lifeline. Elijah prayed and rain came; Moses prayed and the rock gushed water. Prayer has provided hundreds of people with miracles, even today! “Pray without ceasing,” says
1 Thessalonians5:17.

Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

You shall not be afraid

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. (Psalm 91:5-6, New King James Version)

No fear! If we are abiding in the "Secret Place" there He will cover us with His feathers and not even terrorists or criminals, flaming arrows from the evil one or sickness and disease or any other pestilence or perils will be able to come near us.

It is impossible for any of that to come into contact with God Almighty, but we can!  We can abide in His "Secret Place" and we can dwell in His shadow because He has given us mercy and grace through the Blood of Jesus. But we must come through Jesus as He has freed us of sin. We must come washed in the blood of Jesus. We can come no other way!

My prayer is: Dear God may I become the person you want me to be, no shadow of fear should be in my life!

Receive the promise of the Spirit through faith

Galatians 3:13-14 (New King James Version)

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[a]), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Footnotes:
  1. Galatians 3:13 Deuteronomy 21:23

Just for this reason alone (His promises to us) we should live a glorious life, praising God for His plan for our life!

Read aloud the words of Christ

Romans 10:17 says, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.”

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6

Do you have faith that God is, and that He rewards those who seek Him? Do you believe in an infinite God? Do you just know about God or do you know Him personally…intimately?

What you believe will affect your ability to get your prayers answered. It will also determine if you can set the enemy to flight or if the devil will dictate your life.

Faith in God is the only way to receive from Him: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Paul makes it clear that faith pleases God. If you have been doubting the reality of God…if you have been wondering if everything that is in the Bible is true…if you have been questioning “what if”—it is time for you to re-dig your well of faith.

Seek God first! - Matthew 6:33

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We always hear many Christians say that they long for a closer walk with God and that they desire to hear from Him, and what do they do when they have a problem? They turn to the strangest sources for information: friends, relatives, therapists or talk show hosts before they seek God.
Many times God is not even on the list. Yet the answers to everyones problems can be found at the throne of God.

Do we really desire God? Do we seek him daily? Do we communicate with Him often? Do you meditate on His Word? Do you listen when He speaks?

When you develop a relationship with God versus a religion - just rituals, when you KNOW Him as a friend instead of an occasionally meeting Him at church once in a while, - it seems like churches became a place of meeting friends and socialize, - we have to turn around and Find Jesus, build that relationship and get our answers from God - the only source to our problems!

As Christians we should have this same desire for the Lord, like the story in Luke 15:8-10, with the woman who lost her coin and she celebrated with friends when she found it.

We should seek Him daily, continually, diligently...and as we do we should delight in Him, sharing our joy with friends and family—then God will give us the desires of our hearts (Psalms 37:4).

Seek the Lord while He may be found!

My gift today - Isaiah 10:27

Isaiah 10:27

27 It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

"{The anointing is the supernatural manifestation of God’s creative power which destroys every yoke, every bondage in any area of your life...physically, financially or spiritually.

The anointing opens blind eyes, straightens crippled limbs and puts homes back together.

The anointing of God destroys every yoke.

“You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy” (Psalms 45:7).

We must realize that this day will come only when we surrender to God’s anointing—we cannot do this on our own. To come under this anointing, you must return to the sovereignty of God and declare Him the center of your life.

You need to realize that He alone has the power to set you free. “The Lord is God…there is no other” (1 Kings 8:60). You must have faith that there is nothing too difficult for God—no yoke of bondage can withstand His presence and power.

The anointing of God’s presence is what will set you free as you seek Him. }"

The anointing of God destroys every yoke. - Amen!

Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, "It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’"
Matthew 4:4

What are your worries today?
Look at the birds in the sky, they have no worry about what would they eat and what is happening to them tomorrow! They live joyfully and sing along....

Redempton in Christ - Ephesians 1:1-14

Verse 3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ"
We should already started enjoying those blessing here on Earth!
 Greeting
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,

To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus:

2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Redemption in Christ

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 56 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 910 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

Faith

This is by far the best insight information on Observing Ash Wednesday

 Mark 2:17
When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

A good way to begin a new year, a new day, a new life

2 Chronicles 7:14

If  My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

...So light will shine on your ways. (Job 22:28)

Amazing inspirational story; Job's story.

Job 22

Eliphaz Accuses Job of Wickedness
1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said:
2 “Can a man be profitable to God,
Though he who is wise may be profitable to himself?
3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous?
Or is it gain to Him that you make your ways blameless?
4 “Is it because of your fear of Him that He corrects you,
And enters into judgment with you?
5 Is not your wickedness great,
      And your iniquity without end?
6 For you have taken pledges from your brother for no reason,
And stripped the naked of their clothing.
7 You have not given the weary water to drink,
And you have withheld bread from the hungry.
8 But the mighty man possessed the land,
And the honorable man dwelt in it.
9 You have sent widows away empty,
And the strength of the fatherless was crushed.
10 Therefore snares are all around you,
      And sudden fear troubles you,
 11 Or darkness so that you cannot see;
And an abundance of water covers you.
12 “Is not God in the height of heaven?
And see the highest stars, how lofty they are!
13 And you say, ‘What does God know?
Can He judge through the deep darkness?
14 Thick clouds cover Him, so that He cannot see,
And He walks above the circle of heaven.’
15 Will you keep to the old way
      Which wicked men have trod,
16 Who were cut down before their time,
Whose foundations were swept away by a flood?
17 They said to God, ‘Depart from us!
What can the Almighty do to them?’[a]
 18 Yet He filled their houses with good things;
But the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
19 “The righteous see it and are glad,
And the innocent laugh at them:
20 ‘Surely our adversaries[b] are cut down,
And the fire consumes their remnant.’
 21 “Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace;
Thereby good will come to you.
22 Receive, please, instruction from His mouth,
And lay up His words in your heart.
 23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up;
You will remove iniquity far from your tents.
24 Then you will lay your gold in the dust,
And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks.
25 Yes, the Almighty will be your gold[c]
      And your precious silver;
26 For then you will have your delight in the Almighty,
And lift up your face to God.
27 You will make your prayer to Him,
      He will hear you,
And you will pay your vows.
28 You will also declare a thing,
      And it will be established for you;
So light will shine on your ways.
29 When they cast you down, and you say, ‘Exaltation will come!
Then He will save the humble person.
 30 He will even deliver one who is not innocent;
Yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands.”

Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom

Ephesians 1:15-16

15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.

The Model Prayer
Matthew 6

5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[b] 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

      Our Father in heaven,
      Hallowed be Your name.
       10 Your kingdom come.
      Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
      As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[c]

14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground.....

John 12:24

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

I find myself bringing up the subject of death before having something renewed or alive and flourishing.
There is frustrations sometimes that things don't happen the way we want and when we want.

You always have to give it a little time, sometimes is more then just a little; but keep in mind that everything is planned by God and He has the right answer at the right time.

Take time to plan a trip in spring in a place where people still grow crop and eventually start having a conversation about their work; they will show you passion for what they do and they know that after seeding there is not much they can do but wait, and patiently wait for the crop to grow; then that is the time they celebrate, bring the harvest to the table and thank God for bringing results to their hard work.

So, plant your seed and know that God is watching over it and bring it to a full product.

I still love this part of the verse: but if it dies, it produces much grain.
