Seek God first! - Matthew 6:33

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We always hear many Christians say that they long for a closer walk with God and that they desire to hear from Him, and what do they do when they have a problem? They turn to the strangest sources for information: friends, relatives, therapists or talk show hosts before they seek God.
Many times God is not even on the list. Yet the answers to everyones problems can be found at the throne of God.

Do we really desire God? Do we seek him daily? Do we communicate with Him often? Do you meditate on His Word? Do you listen when He speaks?

When you develop a relationship with God versus a religion - just rituals, when you KNOW Him as a friend instead of an occasionally meeting Him at church once in a while, - it seems like churches became a place of meeting friends and socialize, - we have to turn around and Find Jesus, build that relationship and get our answers from God - the only source to our problems!

As Christians we should have this same desire for the Lord, like the story in Luke 15:8-10, with the woman who lost her coin and she celebrated with friends when she found it.

We should seek Him daily, continually, diligently...and as we do we should delight in Him, sharing our joy with friends and family—then God will give us the desires of our hearts (Psalms 37:4).

Seek the Lord while He may be found!
