SET YOUR AFFECTION IN THE THINGS ABOVE

RECEIVE:

The natural man can not receive the word of God, unless you receive the Lord Jesus as your savior first!

1 Corinthians 2:14King James Version (KJV)

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Reading the Bible is not going to help you understand God's word; nothing will before you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Jesus said in the book of John

John 14:6King James Version (KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
And in the book of Romans the word clarifies for us how you receive your faith.
Romans 10:17King James Version (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

STAY PUT AND LISTEN FOR INSTRUCTIONS:

The word of God is very clear in this passage.

Romans 10:9-10King James Version (KJV)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

GO: Take action

God will guide you every step of the way; once you put your life in

Jesus hands there are no decision to make but only instructions to obey.

Matthew 28:19King James Version (KJV)

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

**** Jesus came to end the ordinances of the law; yet we have just 2 ordinances to keep:
1 - Communion
2 - Baptism

I read this passage over and over and every time I read it again is very fresh, encouraging, inspirational and empowering for my christian life!

Romans 8:26-39King James Version (KJV)
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
King James Version (KJV)

YOU WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED IN

CHRIST!
