Wisdom from the Spirit

Use God's Wisdom from the Spirit, He gives it freely!

Living Proof
Thanksgiving – an extra long weekend for some, but hopefully for you it is a time to stop and take account of God’s blessings in your life…and how He has carried you through life’s trials or how He has magnificently provided for you at a time when many are struggling.
A harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
James 3:18
James, the brother of Jesus, wrote to Christians who were having trouble in their personal lives and in their church fellowship. There were difficult testing, temptations to sin, unhealthy competition, and stumbling in the proper use of how they spoke to each other. Sound familiar? James insists that their actions must be living proof of their spiritual maturity.

Vibrant faith adopts God’s peaceable wisdom rather than the contentious wisdom of the world. The worldly wise – motivated by selfish ambition and consumed by envy and jealousy – are arrogant, bitter and self-centered. But the maturing believer exhibits godly behavior. It is first pure, then “peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” (James 3:17)

Let your righteous conduct sow peace. Your harvest will be not just the absence of uneasiness in this country, but an atmosphere that is positive – one of contentment as well as security.

1 Corinthians 2

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
