Departing from old friends
There has been some routine in your life, certain friends you had for a while, gone fishing together, you spend most of your time with them hunting, ETC.
You keep attending Church and the more you learn the more you like to share. Your friends even ask you about God and life matters, but never move forward.
Then suddenly you realize that they are not on the same page with you, they don't express any interest in your life style. Their life style is dragging them down and you don't feel comfortable around them anymore, there is no common subjects to discuss.
As you witness to them, there is no understanding of what you are saying... because it is written, only after one is born again will have the Holly Spirit make them understand what they are reading in the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 1:18-19
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
The Bible is clear in what we have to do.
2 Thessalonians 3:14-15
King James Version (KJV)
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Read in context
All it is left for us to do is pray to the Lord for them to reconcile with God.
Then, it's that conclusion: you have to let them go!
